Jere Friedman and Laurie Keig-Morrell invite you to take refuge from your daily demands and stresses by relaxing and treating yourself to this one-day retreat. You and others will have the opportunity to set the tone for the new year by exploring the theme of self-compassion through meditation and mindfulness, dharma talks, sound healing, and yoga.

Laurie Keig-Morrell, CMMI, RYT has been practicing meditation for over 10 years and is a McLean Meditation Institute® Certified Meditation & Mindfulness Instructor (CMMI). She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and is a Registered Yoga Teacher. Gentle yoga is more than poses – it is about breath-based body movement, finding the form of the pose that suits your body while honoring the function of the pose, and exploring yoga through your body, breath, mind and wisdom. Laurie has a daily meditation and yoga practice and truly believes meditation and yoga significantly changed her life. She is delighted to teach gentle yoga and Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation™ (SEED) and related meditation techniques and mindfulness tools to anyone with the curiosity to explore what each has to offer. She currently leads private meditation classes, meditation workshops at New Mindful Life in San Diego, and teaches gentle yoga classes at Soul of Yoga and Foundation Yoga in the San Diego area.
