Mindful Listening (90 – 120 minutes ) This presentation includes discussion about and experiential exercises with the following:

  • How mindful listening can transform your relationships – and your life!
  • The difference between “sympathy” and “empathy”
  • Seeing and respecting the other person for who s/he really is
  • Listening beyond the “content level” of what the other person is expressing in order to get to the real meaning of what s/he is communicating, which often is significantly different from the actual words that are spoken or written

Demands and Expectations vs. Requests and Agreements (60 – 120 minutes) This presentation includes discussion about and experiential exercises with the following:

  • The difference between “expectations” and “agreements”
  • How relying on demands or expectations can lead to miscommunication, disappointment, dysfunction, disagreement, and damaged relationships (in business and otherwise)
  • Exercises in creating effective agreements instead of expectations 

Owner vs. Victim (60 – 120 minutes) This presentation includes discussion about and experiential exercises with the following:

  • How “playing the victim” negatively affects us individually and in our relationships with others
  • How taking responsibility for and ownership of the situations in one’s life supports a person in taking a leadership role in all areas of his/her life
  • How to identify “ownership” vs. “victimhood” in yourself and others, and what to do about it

  • Exercises in cultivating responsibility and ownership in one’s life 

If I’m So Successful, Why Aren’t I Happy? (90 minutes) This presentation includes discussion about and experiential exercises with the following:

  • How do I define success? How do I measure success?
  • How do I define failure?
  • How do I measure failure?
  • What’s missing from this picture?
  • Why am I not happy, fulfilled, or satisfied in my life?
  • The fallacy of Do -> Have -> Be and the key to authentic success.

Overcoming Anger (90-120 minutes) This presentation includes discussion about and experiential exercises with the following:

  • What is anger?
  • What triggers an angry response?
  • The negative effects of anger
  • How to recognize when we’re angry, why we’re angry, and how we can shift our thinking to neutralize and overcome the anger in order to create an appropriate and healthy response instead of an angry reaction
  • Exercises in recognizing and overcoming anger

(NOTE: This program is about “OVERCOMING” anger, NOT “MANAGING” anger. In other words, it’s about creating a path towards significantly reducing the anger level in a person’s life, instead of simply retaining but trying to “manage” an otherwise unhealthy level of anger.)
